Usually, I release a new .PSD every three weeks. Well, in the last 3 weeks, I've been able to put some time in and have released four new mobile devices for your picking pleasure! If your a regular watcher, I'm sure you've seen the latest two .PSD's. All of the smartphone providers are aggressively taking the gamble that phones are going to sell and working downtown in the business world, you can tell that gamble is paying off. I've seen more 40-50 yr old folks carrying these devices around during breaks and lunch and less socializing. Good sign? Hmmm. None the less! I thought I'd post my latest two devices and give you an update on what I'm working on.
The Samsung Tab:

Let the tablet wars begin! Samsung is the first true competitor to step up to the Apple iPad and none too soon as the fanboys over at Apple have already established the iPad as a seriously functional piece of personal equipment. Android's polish is closing in though. Samsung isn't done here! They intend on launching another tablet sometime early next year and this first Android tablet should be a good trial run to work out the kinks and press on for OS 3.0. Don't get me wrong, this thing really rocks! A very responsive tablet that boasts all but the kitchen sink (kitchen sink being a high performance graphics solution). Samsung couldn't wait for OS 3.0 so we're digging in on performance tweaked Android 2.2 (Froyo) OS powered by a 1.0GHz PowerVR SGX450, 7" WSVGA (1024x600) TFT, 3.0MP AF camera, Full HD (1080p) video playback and recording, integrated Flash 10.1 support, integrated Gmail active-sync, Swype keyboard ability and native document editing/viewing. Not bad for the first out of the Android tablet gate and from now and in the next 6 months, we are going to see one tablet after another for Android. Kinda reminds me of this past year with Android smartphone. So many options!!
The Motorola Droid 2:

This is one I had been hanging out there in limbo ever since I got a hold of the specs on it. I wasn't overly impressed with the phone initially. There were plenty of 1.0 GHz smartphone slated to come out and with this phone running a tad slower and the lack of interface features, I left this project on the way side. Boy, did I find out that was a mistake. This phone kicks some serious ass in the performance department. A 3.7-inch display, 8GB internal memory/ 32 GB external, 5 Megapixel camera, MicroSD support, 750MHz OMAP 3 processor, HDMI out and WiFi tethering are just the tip of this phone's iceberg. Comparable to Verizon's flagship, the Droid X, only smaller, this phone easily holds its own to the top phones in the market currently. Regardless, the .PSD notes are awesome! Sitting at over 50MB, this .PSD is 3000x res, and with the detailed keyboard work added, it's a hefty 350 layers. Holy moly....
At the moment, I'm looking at doing some major updates to all of the existing .PSD's so if you want something that's missing to what .PSD's are already available, let me know in the comments to this blog! More .PSD's to come as well.
